Duncan Cameron : Vocalist & Multi-Instrumentalist

Duncan Cameron is well known at Celtic music venues and folk festivals for his strong vocals and remarkable instrumental abilities. He plays twelve instruments including fiddle, guitar, whistles, uilleann pipes, bodhrán, Irish bouzouki, mandolin, mandola, Irish tenor banjo, five-string banjo, English concertina, and Appalachian dulcimer.

Duncan is also a member of Tamarack, and The Pierre Schryer Band, whose Blue Drag CD was nominated for the "Best Roots/Traditional Album of the Year" Juno Award in 2004. In 1998, Duncan Cameron joined Mary Jane Lamond and John McDermott as one of the original cast members of the hit theatrical show Needfire, at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. He continues to tour solo and with numerous bands across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Duncan has self-published several books of traditional and original fiddle tunes, and has recorded instructional CDs for the multi-instrumental courses he teaches in Toronto and Guelph, ON Canada.
